Harriet Mackie is a modern furniture upholsterer based in Godalming, Surrey.

Born into a creative family, Harriet earned a BA (Hons) in Fashion Design before launching a successful career in the fashion and textiles industry. Over more than 20 years, she worked as a dedicated designer, collaborating with renowned brands including Tesco, URBN, and the Arcadia Group.

Her frequent travels to destinations such as India and Turkey sparked a deep appreciation for vibrant interiors and rich textiles—an interest that naturally evolved into a passion for upholstery.

Drawing on her extensive design background, Harriet seamlessly transitioned into a new, fulfilling career in furniture upholstery.

Her work has spanned both the UK and the Netherlands, serving private clients with bespoke, thoughtfully crafted pieces.

Harriet lives with her husband Alexander, a director of an educational services company for international students and they share their home with their son Milo, daughter Martha, and Bernard the black dog.
